For three years, I was a member of the Oklahoma State University Concert Chorale, led by Dr. Z. Randall Stroope. I was a part of dozens of performances, many recordings, and even a couple of tours with that group. I was lucky to have the chance to perform with the renowned composer Morten Lauridsen as well as with the wonderful Ola Gjeilo. Oklahoma State University Concert Chorale just released a CD titled "Tiny Blue Planet". I was also a part of Dr. Stroope's Oklahoma State University Chamber Choir for one year. In that year, we had the chance to perform with Chanticleer as well as Ola Gjeilo.
While at Stanford, I was a Tenor in the Stanford Chamber Chorale under the direction of Stephen Sano. We traveled to Hawaii and the UK, sang with the Choir of St. John's College and Chanticleer, and recorded Haydn's Nelson Mass with the St. Lawrence String Quartet.
After moving to DC, I joined the Gay Men's Chorus of Washington. I've been a part of several GMCW shows, joined my brothers in song on the 2017 Southern Equality Tour, and was blessed with the opportunity to sing a solo in our The Holiday Show (our 2017 holidays show). Here, you can hear us drowning out hate with love at Knoxville Pride.
From March 7-15, I will be in American Theatre Company's production of [title of show] at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center. I am playing the role of Hunter, a New York Broadway hopeful writing a new musical with his friends Jeff, Heidi, and Susan. My character is based on the author of [title of show], Hunter Bell, who will be in attendance during opening weekend.
In 2011, I held a leading role in Oklahoma State's production of Jeremy Beck's Review. The opera, which focuses on an ensemble cast of recently deceased characters discussing their lives, was my first leading role stage experience. As a member of the Oklahoma State Chamber Choir, I was part of the chorus in the 2012 production of Strauss' Die Fledermaus at Oklahoma State.
